Imperium Commodity Search is recruiting for a senior bunker trader position in London on behalf of an international marine fuel supplier and trading house expanding its global operations.
The recruitment firm said it is exclusively covering the permanent role, which offers a negotiable salary and focuses on trading marine fuels globally with particular emphasis on building profitable business across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
The position involves sourcing marine gasoil, low-sulphur fuel oil, fuel oil, and lubricants for shipowners, charterers, and operators. The successful candidate will manage the complete trade cycle from initial enquiry through to physical delivery, ensuring documentation, operations, and financing are executed through relevant departments.
Key responsibilities include negotiating contract and spot trades, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening supply relations within ports whilst promoting the group's physical locations across EMEA.
The role requires five or more years' experience within a physical supplier or back-to-back trading house in the bunker sector, along with experience trading physical marine fuels in business-to-business, customer, or supply roles.
Candidates must have an established network across the EMEA region and knowledge of key market participants, including customers and suppliers across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The position also requires knowledge of marine fuel procurement, purchasing processes, hedging tools, derivatives, and documentation.
The successful applicant must be located in the UK or willing to relocate, with regular travel to company offices globally required.

Imperium Commodity Search said all applications will be handled in strict confidence and that it does not distribute candidate data without prior consent.
