KPI Bridge Oil hires trader in Seattle


New appointment is described as having an 'advantageous knowledge of the maritime industry'.



KPI Bridge Oil, a leading broker and trader of marine fuels, lubricants and risk management products, has appointed Daniel Chin [pictured] as a bunker and lubricant trader at its Seattle office.

Commenting on the news in a statement, the company said: "Having worked as an oil trader in Korea as well as in Singapore and Pakistan, Daniel has advantageous knowledge of the maritime industry and its needs."

Chin remarked: "I have a solid background within the maritime industry and I've spent a lot of time developing new business opportunities with shipbuilders in Asia. As much as I have enjoyed my time aboard I am ready for a change in perspective."

He added: "Relocating and working in Seattle is a new angle and I expect there to be some challenges and learning curves ahead."

Prior to joining KPI Bridge Oil Seattle, Chin was a junior trader and manager at Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME).
