Chemoil appoints European sales & marketing director


Michiel Van Eijck to focus on building relationships with European customers in his new role.



Leading bunker supplier Chemoil has announced that Michiel Van Eijck has been appointed sales and marketing director of the company's European operations.

Based in Rotterdam, Michiel will work closely with Chemoil’s customers in Europe as well as supporting their fuel supply requirements on a worldwide basis.

Prior to joining Chemoil, Michiel was director of mergers and acquisitions with Eneco Holdings N.V. Prior to that he was senior manager of sourcing and supply with E.ON Benelux and was sales manager for Europe and the Middle East with terminal giant Vopak Oil Logistics.

"His diverse business development experience and knowledge of energy markets will further extend Chemoil’s position as one of the leading independent marine fuel suppliers in Europe," Chemoil said.

Commenting on his new role in the company's newsletter, Van Eijck said "The focus for me will not only be in sales and business development but to continue to build those close relationships Chemoil has established with European customers."

"This will include working with all the European customers on a worldwide basis. Customers can access fuel from regions where we don’t have physical operations and experience our quality of service but the offer doesn’t stop there. Our knowledge and experience enables us to help those same customers access quality fuel at the best prices in ports where we don’t have physical operations.
