Operations continue as normal at most Middle East ports


Most facilities operating normally, with exceptions in Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Operations are continuing as normal at most Middle East ports, according to the most recent update provided by marine services provider GAC at 10:30 GMT on 2 March.

In Iraq, the Basrah Oil Terminal is fully operational with no reported disruptions to crude loading or marine movements. All single point moorings are functioning at the terminal, while operations at Khor Al Zubair and Umm Qasr also remain normal.

Kuwait's ports at Mina Al Ahmadi, Mina Abdullah and Mina Al Zour are operating normally, though the security level at Mina Al Ahmadi and Mina Al Zour has been raised to Level 2.

Operations across Oman's ports are proceeding normally at Mina Al Fahal, Duqm and Sohar. However, operations at Salalah's General Cargo Terminal and Liquid Terminal have been suspended until further notice.

In Qatar, both Ras Laffan and Mesaieed are operating normally with no official circulars received. Operations at Halul are normal, with Al Shaheen expected to berth on March 3.

Saudi Arabia's Ras Tanura is temporarily closed, according to the update. All other Saudi ports, including Dammam, Al Jubail, Jeddah, Rabigh, Jizan and Yanbu, are operating normally.

Ports across the United Arab Emirates — including Dubai, Fujairah, Khorfakkan, Kalba, Dibba and Sharjah — are currently operational.

Yemen's ports at Aden and Hodeidah are also operating normally.
