Omani marine services company Hormuz Marine has been honoured for its bunkering services by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The recognition was presented during the 21st Meeting of GCC Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Authorities, held in Kuwait. The ceremony took place in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baawain, Oman's Minister of Labor.

Hormuz Marine said the achievement would motivate it to continue supporting the maritime transport sector and strengthen Oman's position as a global logistics hub, in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

According to the company's website, Hormuz Marine operates as a physical bunker supplier in Duqm, Salalah, Sohar, Sultan Qaboos and Khasab, as well as providing bunker trading services for all major ports in Oman, including Suwaiq, Shinas, Seeb and Sur.

The firm says it carries out deliveries MGO, VLSFO, IFO, biofuel and marine lubricants.

Oman Vision 2040 aims to transform the sultanate into a regional logistics hub, connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe, with the maritime sector playing a role in this strategic positioning. It plans to achieve this aim by investing in world-class port infrastructure, expanding trade corridors, and embracing sustainability in shipping and energy.
