The Bunker Index (BIX) - the daily average worldwide bunker price quoted in US$ per metric tonne - fell to its lowest end-of-week level of the year so far on August 14, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global price dropped by $2.86, or 0.6 percent, to $456.72 per tonne on August 14 compared with $459.58 per tonne on August 7.

It is the ninth end-of-week decline in a row and the twelfth in the last thirteen weeks.

The $2.86 fall is the least significant in eight weeks - since the $0.79 decline recorded in week 25.
