Stabilis Solutions says it has completed 97 LNG bunkering events at the Port of Galveston, delivering more than 150,000 cbm of LNG to customers, as the Houston-based company advances plans for a proposed on-site liquefaction facility.

According to an online post by Stabilis, it is the only physical supplier of LNG on the Gulf Coast to have reached this volume of bunkering operations at the port.

The company said its proposed LNG liquefaction facility in Galveston is a "natural progression" of its existing bunkering footprint at the Gulf Coast port, adding: "As a Houston-based company, we believe in the Texas economy and the future growth of the Port of Galveston. That belief is why we've invested heavily over the past four years in the planning, permitting, and engineering design work to develop the most advanced, derisked, shovel-ready small-scale LNG liquefaction project on the Gulf Coast."

The firm alluded to the 10-year offtake agreement signed with Carnival Corporation executed in December 2025. Under the terms of the deal, Stabilis expects to deliver LNG from its Galveston liquefaction facility via an LNG bunkering vessel. Deliveries are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Stabilis Solutions, Inc. is a publicly listed company headquartered in Houston, Texas, with LNG production facilities in George West, Texas, and Port Allen, Louisiana.
