Molgas Marine has completed an LNG cool-down and bunkering operation for the vessel Northern Pathlinerat Northern Lights JV’s terminal in Øygarden, western Norway.

According to Molgas, the cool-down phase was executed at Energiparken, located directly adjacent to the company’s production facility, while the bunkering itself was completed at Northern Lights’ own quay. Molgas’s vessel Bergen LNG and its engineering team were present throughout the entire operation.

K Line Energy Shipping (UK) Limited acted as shipowner, with Integr8 Fuels serving as broker for the transaction.

Molgas described the chain from first contact to final delivery as “well-coordinated”, adding that the operation served as “a reminder of why our work matters.”

Molgas also noted that, in combination with the carbon capture and storage (CCS) supply chain developed by Northern Lights JV, the operation reflects “the future of carbon reduction.”

Northern Lights JV, a joint venture between Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies, operates a CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure on the Norwegian continental shelf as part of the broader Longship CCS project.
