Greek marine lubricants supplier Elinoil has appointed Yiannis Diamandopoulos as chief executive officer following a board of directors meeting on 5 January.

As part of the leadership changes, Ioannis Aligizakis has also assumed the role of non-executive chairman.

Diamandopoulos has spent more than 20 years with Elinoil, during which he has held key roles across multiple business areas, including marketing, public relations, business development, solid fuels and the retail fuel station network.

The company said the appointments form part of its ongoing governance framework as it continues to implement strategic initiatives and investments aimed at reinforcing its position in the Greek fuel market.

Elinoil supplies marine lubricants in the Greek ports of Piraeus, Chios, Lavrio, Kalamata, and Neapolis, as well as in Singapore, UAE and Brazil.

In addition to marine lubricants, the firm, which has operated for more than 70 years, also sells asphalt, chemicals, diesel, heating oil, jet fuel, mazut, naptha, petrochemicals, petrol, solid fuels, vacuum gasoil, cutterstocks and feedstocks.
