Island Oil has hosted a group of students as part of its Summer Students Programme, giving interns and trainees exposure to the maritime and energy sectors through job-shadowing and hands-on learning across different areas of the company's operations.

According to Island Oil, participants experienced the company's day-to-day activities and worked alongside its teams to gain practical knowledge of the industry.

A highlight of the programme was said to be a visit to the Island Ruby at the Limassol anchorage, Cyprus. The vessel's crew welcomed the students on board, providing a guided tour and sharing insights into the ship's daily operations and the responsibilities involved in life at sea.

Island Oil said the programme forms part of its commitment to developing talent for the maritime and energy industries. "Supporting young talent is an important part of our commitment to helping develop the future of the maritime and energy industries through hands-on learning, practical knowledge, and real-world experience," the company stated.

Headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, Island Oil operates physical supply stations in Cyprus, Romania, and Israel. The company also has trading desks in Brazil, Denmark, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, UAE, and UK.
