Oil Risk Manager appointed in Denmark


Morten Elgkjaer joins Global Risk Management's oil risk team.



A/S Global Risk Management has announced that Morten Elgkjaer has been appointed Oil Risk Manager at the company's head office in Middelfart, Denmark.

Before joining his new company, Elgkjaer was employed at Mercatus Energy Advisors as Vice President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where he was based in Copenhagen.

Prior to that, Elgkjaer worked as a risk management trader and adviser at OW Bunker between June 2013 and November 2014. Before that, he was sales manager and adviser on financial risk management in foreign exchange, interest rate and commodity hedging at Nordea Markets between 2008 and 2012, having been assistant analyst between November 2006 and May 2008.

In a statement, Global Risk Management said: "In his new job as Oil Risk Manager Morten will service existing clients and generate new clients within the business areas aviation, industry, shipping and suppliers in cooperation with the other sales teams. Morten will be responsible for advising and selling customised fuel trading and risk management solutions to customers exposed to fluctuating oil prices."

Managing Director Hans Erik Christensen, commented: "Our company is experiencing substantial growth and with the employment of Morten we are geared to handling the increasing number of clients wishing to secure their oil price risk exposure.
