Bunker tanker to be deployed to Black Sea region

Vessel to carry out deliveries in Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Kavkaz, Temryuk, Taman and Sochi.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker OJSC has acquired a bunker tanker that will be deployed to the Black Sea region in order to carry out deliveries in the ports of Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Kavkaz, Temryuk, Taman and Sochi.

The tanker [pictured] has been named Gazpromneft Nord-East and is the eighth in the company's fleet of owned vessels. It was built in 2008.

The 83-metre long vessel has a storage capacity of 2,600 tonnes. It is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and safety systems, has unrestricted navigation and is ice-class, thus enabling it to operate in freezing conditions.

"The market of the Black Sea region is surging: in the 6-month period of 2013 our 'on-board' bunkering hit 170,000 tonnes of marine fuel. One of the priorities of Gazpromneft Marine Bunker is to expand its own fleet for operation in promising sectors,” commented Andrey Vasilyev, Director General of Gazpromneft Marine Bunker.
