Dan-Bunkering to open office in Singapore

Global trader says new office will aim to meet growing demand in the region.

Bunker trader and supplier A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. - part of United Shipping & Trading Company (USTC) group - has announced that it will be opening an office in central Singapore as of March 2009.

Commenting on the news, the Danish-owned company said the decision to open the new office was as a result of increasing demand from Singapore and regional clients.

Dan-Bunkering added that the new office was being set up "not only to meet the growing demand... but also to offer even greater service and supply to clients in the region."

Dan-Bunkering is already physically present in Denmark (Middelfart and Copenhagen), Kaliningrad and Shanghai. It also offers lube oil, additive, agency and bunker risk management services to its clients.

The new office is scheduled to start trading within the next couple of months and will be headed by Mr. Kenni Goldenbeck – a well-experienced long-term employee of Dan-Bunkering. He has previously worked in Asia and holds extensive knowledge of the region and local business culture.

The office will also be manned by bunker traders Daphnie Lim and Adele Lee, who have both worked for Dan-Bunkering for a number of years and have extensive experience within the Asian market.
