Topoil launches bunker tanker

Supplier adds double-hulled newbuild to its fleet of bunker delivery vessels.

Topoil AB has announced that it has expanded its fleet of next generation vessels with the launch of its new bunker tanker Pallas.

Pallas is a double-hulled newbuild bunker tanker, which the company says has been specially designed to meet the demands of bunkering in the Scandinavian region.

The 750 dwt vessel has a pumping capacity of 400 cubic metres per hour (cbm/hr) with 8 deepwell pumps and is able to carry all grades of fuel oil.

The vessel complements Topoil's existing fleet of next generation bunker tankers, which consists of MT Ängön, MT Fram, MT Dana and MT Gullmartank.

Topoil has more than 45 years of experience in the marine business and is one of the leading physical suppliers of marine oil products in the Scandinavian region.

The company supplies marine fuel in a range of ports in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. From its base in Gothenburg Topoil is able to reach ports in Oslofjord, the East coast of Denmark and Malmoe-Copenhagen within 12-15 hours. For a full list of ports, please click on the following link below.

Topoil also has coverage on land in the region with storage facilities in both Gothenburg and Trelleborg, thus providing the supplier with the ability to meet demand in port and on the roads.

Commenting on the launch, Mikael Eriksson MD of Topoil said: "Having the privilege to add a modern bunker tanker to the market in our region is something that we at Topoil have been looking forward to do for a long time. We now feel that the time is right and that by introducing Pallas to the market we are giving our customers and ourselves a great bunker tanker that compliments our organisation."
