Glander International Bunkering, a fuel and lubricant trading and brokering firm founded in 1961, is seeking a bunker trader to join its team in Valencia, Spain.
The role is open to candidates from outside the oil industry, with the company stating that sales experience, a willingness to learn, and motivation to develop within the sector are the primary requirements, in addition to the ability to establish great relationships and work well in a team environment. Prior experience in the oil industry is described as not essential.
According to the job posting, the successful candidate will be responsible for understanding customer needs, negotiating prices, and closing deals, as well as identifying new business opportunities and engaging in day-to-day bunker fuel trading. The role also involves participating in client and supplier visits and supporting business development activities.
The new hire will work alongside an existing trading team and receive industry training, including an introduction to trading tools, platforms and networks.
Candidates are required to be fluent in both written and spoken English and proficient in at least one additional language.
