World Fuel Services is advertising for a Sales and Operations Executive, Marine Lubricants, to be based in Greece, according to a job posting published on LinkedIn.
The role, which will be based at the company’s Glyfada office near Athens, is described as being responsible for driving profitable sales growth, managing customer relationships, and strengthening the company’s position within the marine lubricants market. The successful candidate will work from the office three days per week, with two days remote, and some travel within Europe is expected.
According to the posting, the position will focus on supporting shipowners, operators, managers, and charterers by delivering lubricant solutions across complex global supply chains, amid pricing dynamics and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities listed include developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue, volume, and margin targets; managing and growing a portfolio of marine customers; identifying new business opportunities; and assisting with commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, tenders, and long-term supply agreements. The role also involves monitoring market conditions and competitor activity.
One to two years of experience in sales or commercial roles within marine lubricants, marine fuels, shipping, or related maritime industries is preferred but not essential. A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, maritime studies, or a related field is similarly listed as preferred but not required. Fluency in English is listed as a firm requirement.
