The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) has appointed three new members to its Asia Regional Board.

Caroline Yang, chief executive of Hong Lam Marine Pte Ltd; Diana Mok, managing director of Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers (S) Pte Ltd; and François-Xavier Accard, managing director of CMA CGM International Shipping Company Pte Ltd, were unanimously supported by the IBIA Global Board.

IBIA said the additions will reinforce the Asia board’s role in ensuring regional views are reflected in the association’s wider governance. The trio are also expected to support work on development, training and networking across the region.

The association also used the announcement to thank two outgoing members. Lim Teck Cheng, executive chairman of Hong Lam Marine, and Danny Chua, senior partner at Joseph Tan Jude Benny LLP, are stepping down after 10 years of support for IBIA Asia.

IBIA noted that their contribution played an important part in the region’s development and in strengthening its place within the global marine energy community.

The Asia Regional Board forms part of IBIA’s wider governance framework, under which five regional boards represent bunker-industry interests across different parts of the world.
