Bunker delays expected in Gibraltar

Adverse weather conditions look set to cause delivery backlog for bunker suppliers.

The port of Gibraltar is preparing itself for gale force winds of between 7 and 8, which is set to have repercussions on bunkering operations, according to market sources.

Local authorities issued a weather warning this morning and it is possible that the port may close for some hours later today if the conditions become too severe.

The adverse weather conditions are expected to cause some congestion and a delivery backlog for suppliers in Gibraltar over the next two days.
