Glander International Bunkering promotes another three traders

Abdur Rahman, Laura Toplar and Elza Adamyan promoted to Senior Bunker and Lubricant Trader in Dubai.

Glander International Bunkering (GIB) - part of Bunker Holding A/S - has announced the promotion of three members of staff at its Dubai office to the role of Senior Bunker and Lubricant Trader.

GIB said the promotion of Abdur Rahman, who joined the Dubai office in 2013, was "a result of his strong work ethic and expertise in the Middle East and Indian subcontinent market."

Laura Toplar, who was appointed bunker and lubricant trader in 2014, is said to have been "instrumental in developing the group's presence in Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the Black and Mediterranean Sea".

"Her promotion to Senior Bunker and Lubricant Trader is well merited," GIB added.

Meanwhile, GIB noted that Elza Adamyan, had "proven herself as a versatile and resilient trader" since joining the firm in 2014. She is to continue handling business in the Middle East and Africa.

Morten Langthjem, Sales Manager in Dubai, remarked: "All traders are great assets to the group and their extensive expertise plays an integral role in the organisation's success rate. It is with great pleasure that I announce the promotions, all of which are well deserved as a result of their hard work and highly professional manner."

Earlier this month, Bunker Index reported that GIB had promoted a trader at each of its offices in Dubai, Mumbai and Singapore.

The recent staff promotions follow last month's senior management changes at Bunker Holding, which saw Carsten Ladekjaer appointed CEO of GIB for the second time.
