Bunker Holding A/S is recruiting a risk specialist to join its internal pricing desk in Copenhagen, as the Danish bunker group looks to strengthen its capacity to handle forward fixed-price trading and price risk management for both conventional and alternative marine fuels.
The role, advertised on LinkedIn, is based at the company's Copenhagen office and requires candidates with experience in derivatives, bunker trading or sourcing. According to the job posting, the position carries an "exciting international reach" and will offer opportunities for personal and professional development.
The internal pricing desk plays a role in the group's broader strategy, Bunker Holding notes, with a remit that spans support for purchasing desks and sales traders across the value chain — including reselling, physical supply, sourcing and risk management.
The successful candidate will act as the group's market maker for forward fixed prices, bridging the gap between derivatives and physical bunkers. Day-to-day responsibilities will include managing the group's bunker forward fixed-price exposure, handling formula pricing requests for sourcing and sales, overseeing trade recording systems, and training sales traders in risk management solutions for end clients.
Bunker Holding is seeking someone with a commercial mindset, experience working with forward prices, and an understanding of hedging instruments. The company says it values "out of the box thinking," strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail, alongside professional-level English and a willingness to travel.
Questions about the vacancy can be directed to Morten Elgkjær, head of structured sales and contract management, on +45 6034 5434.
