Singapore MGO vs ICE Gas Oil


Analysis of Singapore marine gas oil (MGO) and ICE Gas Oil prices in September.



The average price of marine gas oil (MGO) at the port of Singapore and ICE Gas Oil moved in different directions during the month of September, according to Bunker Index and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) price data.

The ICE Gas Oil settlement average decreased by $14.97 per tonne, or 3.23 percent, to $448.61 per tonne in September. During the same period, the Singapore MGO average was up by $11 per tonne, or 2.53 percent, to $445 per tonne.

Between September 2014 and September 2015, the monthly MGO average in Singapore declined by $389 per tonne, or 46.6 percent, from $834 to $445 per tonne, whilst the ICE Gas Oil settlement average decreased by $383.89 per tonne, or 46.1 percent, from $832.50 to $448.61 per tonne.
