Fujairah 380 cSt average plummets 20.4% in January


The 380 cSt average at the Middle East's leading bunker port has fallen 51.2% since September.



The average price of 380 centistoke (cSt) fuel oil in Fujairah plummeted $74 per tonne, or 20.4 percent, this month, according to Bunker Index price data.

The 380 cSt average at the Middle East's leading bunker port fell to $287 per tonne, down from $361 per tonne in December, during a month that saw Fujairah's best-selling fuel grade record a $60 low-to-high price range of $260 to $320 per tonne.

The January price is the lowest since April 2009 ($287 per tonne). It is also the seventh monthly decline in a row and the price drop over the last four months alone has been $301, or 51.2 percent.
