Aloha Marine Lines cuts fuel surcharge

Fuel surcharge on shipments to and from Hawaii is reduced from 35.5 to 31.5 percent.

Aloha Marine Lines has submitted a filing to the Surface Transportation Board (STB) of the United States to decrease the fuel surcharge from 35.5 percent to 31.5 percent on shipments to and from Hawaii.

The decrease is due to become effective on January 18, 2015.

Aloha Marine Lines said it will continue to monitor fuel prices on a daily basis and adjust the fuel surcharge "when necessary".

Aloha Marine Lines is the Hawaii division of Alaska Marine Lines.
