Aegean's Nellos Filopoulos resigns


Senior Manager is set to leave Aegean Marine Petroleum after 16 years.



Nellos Filopoulos [pictured] has resigned from his position as Senior Manager, Marine Fuels at Aegean Marine Petroleum S.A, according to industry sources.

Filopoulos is a highly experienced member of the shipping and bunker industry and his career spans 27 years. He has been employed at Aegean Marine Petroleum for almost 16 years having joined the company in September 1996.

Prior to joining Aegean, Filopoulos worked as General Manager for Sheffield Maritime in London between August 1993 and August 1996.

He began his career in the marine fuels industry at BP Marine, Piraeus, in 1985, where he worked as Sales Manager from September 1985 to May 1992.

Details regarding the reason for his departure and his next appointment have not yet been revealed.
