Petrobras offers 1%S 380-cst in Rotterdam


Brazilian bunker supplier offering 1.00% sulphur 380-centistoke fuel oil in Rotterdam.



Leading Brazilian bunker supplier Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) S.A. has announced that, as from May 2010, its wholly owned subsidiary Petrobras International Braspetro B.V. will be offering 1% low sulphur 380-centistoke (cst) fuel oil at the port of Rotterdam.

The announcement comes in anticipation of the upcoming change in Sulphur Emission Control Area (SECA) regulation, which will come into force on July 1st 2010.

The sulphur limits applicable will be reduced from 1.50% to 1.00%, being further reduced to 0.10 % from January 1st 2015.
