Chemoil Latin America appoints new MD


New appointment replaces previous Panama manager Andrés Galavis.



SGX Mainboard-listed Chemoil has appointed Ms Veronica Valenzuela as Managing Director of one of its operating subsidiaries, Chemoil Latin America Inc.

Ms Valenzuela joined Chemoil in 2009 and has more than 30 years of industry experience, including seven years as the general manager of Chevron’s operations in Panama.

She holds both MBA and CPA degrees and has also served in the past as President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Panama.

Commenting on the appointment, Clyde Michael Bandy, Chemoil’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said: “Veronica has extensive experience in all aspects of the Panama bunker industry and I am very pleased she has accepted the responsibility to manage Chemoil’s Panama operations.”

Ms Valenzuela takes over the position from Mr Andrés Galavis effective immediately, following Mr Galavis’ resignation.
