ScanOcean has appointed Lars Malmbratt as senior commercial manager, a move the bunker supplier and trader said will strengthen its commercial team.

Malmbratt will be based at ScanOcean's Gothenburg office, where he will focus on developing new customer relationships, strategic partnerships and business opportunities across the marine fuels market.

He brings experience from the international bunker and shipping industries. Malmbratt most recently served as bunker procurement manager at Stena Bulk, a role he had held since 2012. Before that, he held commercial positions at Topoil — now part of Bunker One Sweden — and Stena Oil.

Jonatan Karlström, managing director of ScanOcean, commented: "We are delighted to welcome such an experienced and well-known industry professional to ScanOcean. Lars brings a wealth of knowledge, relationships and commercial experience from across the bunker market. He will play an important role in our continued growth as we expand our customer base, develop new partnerships and steer the company towards new opportunities."

Founded in 2013, ScanOcean is a marine fuels supplier and trading company that provides conventional and renewable marine fuels alongside compliance services to shipowners and marine operators. Its offering spans physical supply, renewable fuels, emission allowance trading and sourcing, and FuelEU Maritime compliance and pooling solutions.
