IBT Bunkering & Trading launches Singapore desk to complement Hamburg operation

German bunker firm says the move gives it round-the-clock coverage across two continents.

IBT Bunkering & Trading has announced the launch of a new operation in Singapore.

The German firm, which has been trading marine fuel out of Hamburg for 50 years, explained that the Singapore desk would complement its existing European operations, giving it what it describes as a two-desk global network covering east and west around the clock.

"This isn't a flag on a map. It's a deliberate move to trade where the fuel flows: two strategic desks across two continents," the company stated, adding that it was opening its doors in "the world's largest bunkering hub and the beating heart of marine fuel in Asia".

IBT said a team announcement for the Singapore office would soon follow.
