The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) has opened nominations for its 2026 board elections, seeking to fill three vacancies as current members' terms expire on March 31, 2026.

The association is inviting its members to propose candidates who can contribute to the organisation's operations. IBIA emphasized that board positions require active participation rather than serving as honorary roles.

Prospective candidates must meet several requirements, including obtaining consent to stand for election, maintaining paid-up membership status, and securing both a proposer and seconder who are also paid-up members. Additionally, candidates must complete and return the official nomination form.

The nomination deadline is set for December 12, 2025. Completed forms must be submitted to tara.morjaria@ibia.net in both signed PDF and Word formats for processing. The association stressed that late submissions will not be accepted.

IBIA has provided resources for potential nominees, including documentation outlining board member responsibilities, relevant sections of the association's bye-laws covering governance procedures, and the official nomination form. These materials are available through links provided below.
