Refinaria da Amazônia (REAM) has resumed bunkering operations at Vila do Conde anchorage in Pará state, strengthening its marine fuel supply presence in northern Brazil.

Located in Barcarena municipality in Pará, Vila do Conde serves as a logistics hub for exporting commodities, including mineral bulks such as bauxite and iron ore, agricultural products like soya and corn, and supports aluminium industry operations.

The bunkering service is said to provide 24-hour support for cargo vessels, offshore platforms, and support vessels, supplying marine gas oil (MGO), intermediate fuel oil (IFO) and low-sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) with certified quality and guaranteed traceability.

The operation claims to maintain environmental compliance with the MARPOL Convention whilst also implementing risk prevention protocols.

REAM says the resumption of operations reinforces its commitment to providing integrated, safe, and sustainable solutions for the maritime sector, contributing to the logistics and economic development of the Amazon region.
