Finnish energy company Gasum has completed its first LNG bunkering operation at the Port of Tolkkinen, located adjacent to the Porvoo refinery in Finland.

The bunkering took place on August 21, with the receiving vessel being Ramira, operated by shipping company Furetank.

Gasum noted that the new Tolkkinen service enables it to supply LNG and bio-LNG to vessels calling at ports in the Porvoo region.

The company described the operation as safe and smooth, thanking all parties involved in the bunkering procedure.

The Port of Tolkkinen is situated next to Finland's Porvoo refinery, positioning it as a potential hub for LNG marine fuel supply in the region.

The bunkering operation represents Gasum's expansion of its LNG supply network to include the Porvoo area, adding to its existing marine fuel infrastructure across the Nordic region.
