Cockett's global lubricants head on Asia discovery mission

The head of Cocket Group's global lubricants business, Caroline Huot, will this week be attending the 12th ICIS Asian Base Oils & Lubricants Conference on June 26-28 at the Fairmont Hotel in Singapore.

Cockett confirmed Huot's attendance on Monday, saying that she will "learn about the latest developments, hear the best practices in overcoming the most pertinent challenges and be able [to] learn further about the opportunities the region has to offer".

Huot has more than 20 years' experience in the marine lubricants sector and was appointed as Cockett's global head of lubricants in November 2016.

She previously served as Global Marine Lubricants Director at KPI Bridge Oil; was CEO and managing director at Gulf Oil Marine Ltd; and general manager at Total Lubmarine Asia Pacific.

This year's Asian Base Oils & Lubricants Conference will be assessing the impact of increased globalisation and diversity on the Asian base oils market.

Confirmed speakers include: Andrew Adams, Head of Commercial at Stolt Singapore; Mike McCabe, Global Marketing Director at Lubrizol; Gary Parsons, Global OEM and Industry Liaison Manager at Chevron Oronite; Keith Schultz, General Manager at Vilube; and Brad Rinderknecht, Synthetics Global Marketing Manager at ExxonMobil.
