New MD for Glander International Bunkering in Norway

Ole Morten Rismyhr earns MD promotion; Inge Walmestad and Petter Christian Bakke named senior bunker traders.

Glander International Bunkering (GIB) has announced the promotion of Ole Morten Rismyhr to the position of managing director of its Norway office.

Rismyhr, the former International Sales Manager for the group's Norwegian division, has been with the company since 2002; he started his career as a bunker trader at Scandinavian Bunkering, which merged with GIB last year.

Rismyhr has more than 20 years' experience dealing with bunkers, and prior to his career with GIB and Scandinavian Bunkering, he worked in various operational roles - both onboard and shore-based - in the shipping industry.

"His dual perspective approach to bunker supplies and later managing the trading team has been key in the success of his progression," the company said in a statement.

Commenting on the news, Glander International Bunkering Group CEO, Carsten Ladekjaer, said: "I am delighted to promote Ole Morten Rismyhr to Managing Director. With years of experience in bunkering and management, together with expert knowledge in offshore deliveries worldwide, I am confident that Rismyhr will provide strong direction for the team of dedicated professionals in Norway."

GIB also confirmed two further promotions: Inge Walmestad and Petter Christian Bakke have both advanced from bunker trader to senior bunker trader.
