New bunker company launched in Germany


Matthias Eckeberg teams up with Sebastian Clausen to launch Bremen-based firm.



A new bunker company specializing in the worldwide sale of marine fuels and lubricants has been established in Bremen, Germany.

Operating under the business name Lloyd Bunker GmbH, the firm is headed by former World Fuel Services Commercial Manager Matthias Eckeberg.

Eckeberg has several years' experience in the marine fuel industry; he began working for Tramp Oil / World Fuel Services back in 1993.

Eckeberg is joined by bunker trader Sebastian Clausen, who was previously employed at Bremen-based HGM Energy GmBH and Tramp Oil / World Fuel Services between 2015 and 2017. Before that, he served as a trader at the Hamburg office of Bomin between 2011 and 2015.
