Majestic raises fuel surcharge


US river cruise line firm ups surcharge for bookings made from 19th May.

Majestic America Line, one of the world’s premier river cruise lines and the largest river and coastal cruising company in America, will increase its fuel surcharge from $8.50 to $10.00 per person, per day for future bookings due to the continued escalation in fuel prices.

The surcharge applies to all currently published sailings through the 2008 season, for all new bookings, beginning May 19th 2008.

Majestic America Line operates a fleet of six U.S.-flagged and built ships, which travel throughout the country's rivers and coastal waterways from Alaska and the Pacific Northwest to the Heartland and the Lower Mississippi.

Based in Seattle, Majestic America Line is a division of Ambassadors Cruise Group, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ambassadors International, Inc.
