BP opens Brisbane bunker terminal

New marine fuel facility includes storage tanks with 30,000 tonnes of storage capacity.

Oil major BP has opened a new bitumen and marine fuel import facility on the Brisbane River at Pinkenba, Queensland, Australia.

Roads Minister Craig Wallace officially opened the marine fuel terminal, which features new storage tanks with 30,000 tonnes of storage capacity, a dedicated barge wharf and a new double-hulled bunker barge.

As a result of the launch, the company is now able to store and deliver three different types of marine fuels.
