GHG emissions press conference announced


Nor-Shipping event to cover strategy for reducing emissions from ships.



The International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (INTERTANKO) has announced that it will be hosting a press conference at this week's Nor Shipping 2009 Trade Fair to comment on its plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from ships.

The London-based association is expected to speak about its work with the IMO and the shipping industry to develop a strategy to cut GHG's and to also cover the topic of energy efficiency amongst new and existing ships.

Event Location: Thon Hotel Arena, Hedmark Room (adjacent to the Exhibition centre), Oslo

Present at the event will be Managing Director Dr Peter Swift, Technical Director Dragos Rauta and Marine Director Captain Howard Snaith. Light lunch will also be provided.
