Vopak passes resolution to appoint board member

HAL Holding chairman Melchert Frans Groot replaces Martijn van der Vorm.

The extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of shareholders of storage terminal operator Vopak, held on 18 December 2014, has passed the sole resolution on the agenda - to appoint Mr Melchert Frans Groot as member of Vopak's supervisory board for a term of 4 years.

In his new role, Groot is to succeed Mr Martijn van der Vorm, who has stepped down as member of the supervisory board of Vopak following his decision to step down from the executive board of Curaçao-based holding company HAL Holding NV earlier this year.

"The Supervisory Board and the Executive Board thank Mr. Van der Vorm for the important role he has played for Vopak during his tenure," Vopak said in a statement.

Groot has worked at HAL Holding NV for the past 25 years and has been chairman of the executive board since October 2014.
