Danish marine fuel supplier Malik Supply A/S has promoted Marcus Møller from its trainee programme to a permanent bunker trader position, the company announced on October 15.
Møller completed the company's internal training programme under the guidance of Sales Manager Emil Lynge Nielsen, who served as his coach throughout the process.
"Marcus was quick to understand both our company and our industry. He took responsibility for his own learning and showed impressive motivation from the very beginning," Nielsen said. "He's lived up to Malik Supply's values and has shown both teamwork, professionalism, attentiveness, and innovation — and we're thrilled that he's chosen to stay on as a Bunker Trader. His future looks very bright."
The newly appointed trader reflected positively on his experience during the programme, highlighting the support he received from colleagues across different departments.
"Everyone's been so open and eager to help, both the senior traders and colleagues from other departments. From day one, I felt included as part of the team," Møller said. "I've had the freedom to learn at my own pace and really dive into trading. That kind of freedom also comes with responsibility - you have to learn fast, because things move fast in this business. It's not just a job, it's a lifestyle, and it fits me perfectly."
Looking ahead, Møller expressed interest in mentoring future trainees within the organisation.
"For now, I still have a lot to learn, and I look forward to doing so. At some point, I'd love to be a mentor for new trainees and share what I've learned. I know how much it meant to me to have great guidance, and I'd like to give that back," he said.
