Bunker trader leaves Chemoil


Trader is the second this year to leave Chemoil's Dubai office.



Jonalyn (Jona) Diaz [pictured], bunker trader at global bunker supply firm Chemoil, has confirmed that today is her last day at the company.

Speaking to Bunker Index, Diaz did not mention her future plans, but revealed that she had received another job offer.

Diaz joined Dubai-based Chemoil Middle East as Sales and Marketing Representative in March 2009. She has been principally responsible for dealing with bunker enquiries for Fujairah - the region's largest bunkering hub - and other Middle East ports.

Diaz has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from EARIST, Philippines.

The departure of Diaz comes only a few weeks after another Dubai-based bunker trader, Gaurav Dwivedi, left to join rival bunker supply firm Folk Shipping LLC towards the end of last month.

Dwivedi worked as Sales and Marketing Executive at Chemoil for approximately two and a half years, between July 2010 and January 2013. Prior to this, he was Assistant Manager, Bunker Sales at Chemoil Adani Pvt Ltd - a joint venture between Chemoil and - between February 2009 and July 2010.
