Utility seeks up to 72,000 mt of fuel oil

Fuel oil cargo to be delivered to Asian generation company in April.

Korea East-West Power Co. Ltd. (EWP) is interested in purchasing up to 72,000 metric tonnes of fuel oil for delivery in April, Bloomberg reports.

The South Korean generation company, owned by the government-run Korea Electric Power Corporation, is said to have issued an email to potential suppliers, stating that it was seeking to buy 30,000 to 72,000 tonnes of fuel oil with a maximum viscosity of 540 centistoke (cst) and 2.5 percent maximum sulphur.

The cargo is to be delivered to the Ulsan thermal power plant from April 14-18.

The closing date for offers is March 21, 2 p.m. local time.
