Asia-Australia lines set bunker surcharge


AADA to implement new surcharge for shipments from Hong Kong and China to Australia.



Members of the Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) have announced that next month they will be imposing a new bunker surcharge for shipments from China and Hong Kong to ports in Australia.

The new surcharge, which will be effective from 10th January 2011, will be $250 per twenty foot equivalent unit (TEU) and $500 per forty foot equivalent unit (FEU) for dry and refrigerated containers.

Customers requiring further information concerning the bunker surcharge are advised to contact the member lines.
