Bunker cargo arrives in Colombo

Sri Lanka supplier is reported to have fully discharged a fuel oil cargo over the weekend.

Leading Colombo supplier Lanka IOC Plc. has taken receipt a 6,000-tonne cargo of intermediate fuel oil, according to local sources.

The parcel is reported to have arrived on board the chemical/oil tanker Sunrise Peony, with the product being fully discharged on Saturday, 17th July 2010.

The vessel was said to have been carrying around 4,000 tonnes of 380-centistoke (cst) and 2,000 tonnes of 180-cst.

Meanwhile, competing supplier Lanka Marine is understood to have recently purchased a 4,000-tonne cargo of 380-cst from Sharjah-based fuel oil trading company FAL Oil.

The deal between both parties is said to have been agreed around 10 days ago, with the cargo arrival date as yet unconfirmed
