XPower Trading, the marine fuel procurement and trading arm of Danish dry bulk shipping company XO Shipping, says it is seeking a senior bunker trader to work from Dubai in a “newly established” role.

According to a job listing published on LinkedIn, the position requires a minimum of five years’ bunker trading experience at an international trading house or shipping company, alongside a commercial degree, an excellent command of English, technical aptitude and advanced computer literacy. The successful candidate is expected to be self-driven and analytical, with a commercial mindset and excellent presentation and communication skills.

The new hire's main objective will be to build what is described as a "profitable and risk-disciplined customer portfolio". They will also be responsible for serving existing clients and developing new commercial relationships, whilst also handling bunker procurement for vessels operated by the parent company, XO Shipping.

XPower Trading describes itself as dynamic and forward-thinking, with an entrepreneurial culture that fosters strong individual accountability and fast decision-making. Currently, bunker trader Alexander Dodd, who joined XPower Trading in January 2026, is the only UAE-based person linked to the company’s profile on LinkedIn, whilst XO Shipping's Dubai office is in Jumeirah Lakes Towers — a popular location amongst bunker firms.

The search and selection process is being managed by Hoffmann Reed Denmark. Enquiries and applications can be directed to Managing Partner Jakob Tørring at jakob.torring@hoffmannreed.com or by telephone at +45 2921 3060.
