Oilmar appoints Shawn Ho as senior manager for business development and bunker trading in Singapore


Marine fuel seller hires experienced industry professional to bolster its Singapore operations.

Oilmar has appointed Shawn Ho as Senior Manager, Business Development and Bunker Trading, based in Singapore.

Ho brings more than 15 years of experience in the bunker and petroleum industry to the role, having spent 11 years with Toyota Tsusho Petroleum and four years with Adani Global. His background spans bunker trading, operations, market analysis and risk management.

In his new position, Ho will join Oilmar’s Trading Department, where the company says his expertise in commercial trading, strategic negotiations, and supplier and customer partnerships make him a valuable addition to its team.

"Shawn's experience, industry insight, and commercial leadership will play an important role in driving our continued growth and delivering value to our customers," Oilmar stated, adding: "We are excited to have Shawn on board and look forward to the impact he will make."

Ho joins Steff Tan, whose appointment as marine fuels trader in Singapore was announced last week.

Headqartered in Dubai, Oilmar is a marine fuels trader that has recently also expanded into cargo and base oil trading. The company, which was founded in 2015, has offices in Greece, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey and UAE.
