KPI OceanConnect has reported earnings before tax of $10.9 million for its 2025/26 financial year, a 21% increase on the prior period, as the company delivered 13 million tonnes of marine fuel and completed the integration of Baseblue into its operations.

Revenue reached $6.2 billion over the period, according to the company, which cited strong operational performance, business expansion and continued investment in energy transition services as contributing factors.

The integration of bunker trading business Baseblue was completed in January this year. KPI OceanConnect said the move strengthens its global footprint and aligns regional teams more closely to improve service delivery to customers worldwide.

CEO Dorthe Bendtsen remarked: "By integrating Baseblue, investing in our people and expanding both our advisory and digital capabilities, we have further enhanced our ability to help customers navigate market volatility, regulatory change and the practical realities of the energy transition. The results for the year reflect the strength of our partnerships, the dedication of our teams and the trust our customers place in us every day."

The company also expanded its alternative fuels and carbon markets capabilities during the year, trading more than two million EU Allowances (EUAs) and assisting 250 shipowners and operators in identifying pathways to regulatory compliance. The expansion came amid growing demand for EUA trading and FuelEU Maritime pooling solutions as the maritime sector adapts to the EU's evolving emissions framework.

KPI OceanConnect's advisory services cover biofuels, LNG, methanol, carbon compliance and FuelEU Maritime strategies. The company noted that it has access to biofuel solutions across more than 250 ports worldwide through Bunker Holding Group's global supply network.

The backdrop to the year included the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which added to geopolitical and logistical pressures on the marine fuels market.

Bendtsen stated: "The industry is operating in a period where energy, regulatory and geopolitical risks are increasingly interconnected. Our role is to help customers navigate these complexities by providing market insight, compliance expertise and access to a broad range of fuel and risk management solutions."

Beyond its commercial activities, the company marked the fifth year of its 50for50 charitable initiative, which has now raised more than $570,700 for over 40 charities globally. The 2025 campaign raised $115,500 and, for the first time, incorporated a customer-focused element allowing clients to help select charities supported by KPI OceanConnect's local offices.
