Navios Maritime Partners (Navios Partners) has taken delivery of the Nave Equator, a 2026-built Aframax/LR2 product tanker of 117,059 deadweight tonnes.
The vessel has been designed to be LNG- and methanol-ready, as well as Alternative Maritime Power-ready, allowing vessels to connect to shore-based electricity while at berth, reducing emissions from auxiliary engines.
The Nave Equator is equipped with Framo pumps and has been designed with technology aimed at optimising energy efficiency and safety, the company stated.
Last month, Navios took delivery of the Nave Amaryllis — a 116,934-dwt Aframax/LR2 product tanker that is also LNG- and methanol-ready and equipped for alternative maritime power.
Recently, Navios also moved forward with the same tanker programme when the fourth 115,000-tonne LR2/Aframax ship, CHB3014, entered the floating dock at Changhong International in China. That ship has also been designed for future conversion to methanol or LNG and includes provision for medium-voltage shore power.
Navios Maritime Partners L.P. is a US publicly listed owner and operator a diversified fleet of dry bulk, container and tanker vessels engaged in the seaborne transportation of commodities.
