Sing Fuels Pte Ltd is recruiting a supply trader to focus on marine fuel procurement in China, according to a job posting by the bunker firm.
The position involves supporting the procurement of marine fuels from suppliers across Asia, with responsibilities including negotiating purchase prices and contractual terms with suppliers. The role also requires tracking market trends and supply chain developments to inform purchasing strategies.
The trader will be expected to manage daily operational follow-ups to ensure timely deliveries and maintain relationships with suppliers throughout the procurement process. Supplier assessment and selection based on quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency forms part of the role, along with administering supplier contracts and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.
The position includes collaboration with the business manager on post-sales activities and pre- and post-delivery coordination. The trader will also serve as a point of contact for customers, suppliers, barge operators, port authorities, and surveyors.
Sing Fuels is seeking candidates with a degree or diploma and two to four years of experience in the bunker trading industry. The company states that the role requires the ability to work long hours and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
The position is full-time and based in China. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, with a commission scheme offered, according to the company.
