Fratelli Cosulich Group’s Marine Energy unit has launched its second methanol-ready bunker vessel, Lucia Cosulich, at Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard.
The launch took place on 2 May and marked the vessel’s move from construction into the water. The ceremony brought together the project team, partners and other stakeholders.
According to the group, Ms Lucia Cosulich served as godmother to the vessel.
Lucia Cosulich is the second of four sister methanol-ready IMO II bunker vessels being built as part of a broader fleet development plan. Fratelli Cosulich said the series is intended to create a flexible, future-ready fleet capable of meeting both current and emerging fuel requirements.
Designed from the outset with methanol capability and fitted with advanced technical features, the new unit reflects what the group described as a pragmatic approach to the energy transition, combining operational efficiency with readiness for alternative fuels.
With Lucia Cosulich, the group stated that it is continuing to strengthen its position in the marine energy sector and advance its commitment to reliable, increasingly sustainable bunkering services.
Fratelli Cosulich’s Marine Energy unit is active in marine fuel supply and has been expanding its fleet for both conventional and alternative fuel operations.
