Finnish energy company Gasum has changed its legal form from a private limited liability company to a public limited company, effective 28 April.

The business is now registered as Gasum Oyj, with the parallel English name Gasum Plc, replacing its previous designation as Gasum Oy.

Gasum said the move will allow it to diversify its financing base going forward.

The company has asked customers, suppliers, and other parties to update their records with its new name and ensure that any new correspondence sent on or after 28 April is addressed to Gasum Oyj.

Gasum added that its other company details, including contact information, business ID and bank account details, remain unchanged.

Gasum is a Nordic gas supplier active in the maritime, industrial and transport sectors. It also operates liquefied gas and bio-LNG terminals across Finland, Sweden and Norway, and operates as a physical bunker supplier in Scandinavian ports.
